Legal Adviser (Competition Law) – 2 year contract with extension opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Legal Adviser who either has experience in competition law or demonstrates a strong desire to specialise in this field. This is an excellent opportunity for a young professional looking to accelerate their career in a supportive and intellectually challenging environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, handling, and management of competition-related cases.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal opinions, submissions, and other documents on competition law matters.
  • Liaise with clients, public authorities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Attend court hearings, meetings, and consultations, as required.
  • Stay updated on the latest legal and policy developments in competition law at national and EU level.

 

Qualifications

  • Law degree from a recognised institution.
  • Cyprus Bar membership or eligibility to be admitted.
  • 2-4 years of post-qualification experience; prior experience or postgraduate studies in competition law will be considered an advantage, but are not required.
  • Additional experience in commercial law or administrative law will be considered an asset.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and professional environment.
  • Excellent  command of Greek and English.
