Trojan Economics is now accepting applications for its Summer 2026 Internship Program.

This programme offers an excellent opportunity for fourth-year students and recent graduates in law or economics to engage with cutting-edge issues in competition law, state aid, and market regulation.

We welcome four (4) interns to join our team.

Program Structure

The Summer 2026 Internship Program is structured across two distinct tracks:

1. Research Internship (2 positions – Hybrid)

Interns will undertake focused research on advanced topics at the intersection of law and economics. The internship follows a hybrid model, combining remote work with targeted in-person collaboration.

2. Practical Internship (2 positions – In-office)

Interns will support ongoing advisory work, including:

  • Case-related research and economic analysis
  • Contributions to client projects
  • Preparation of legal and economic opinions

These positions require physical presence at our office and close collaboration with our consulting team.

Research Topics

Applicants for the research track may work on one of the following topics:

  1. Competition Law vs Industrial Policy: Economic Trade-Offs: Examining how competition enforcement increasingly interacts with industrial policy objectives, including implications for welfare analysis, enforcement standards, and long-term market structure.
  2. Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR): Economics, Enforcement Risks, and Overlap: Analysing the economic rationale and enforcement challenges of the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation, including its interaction with State aid, merger control, and FDI screening.
  3. Economics on Trial: How Courts Assess Economic Evidence in Competition Law: Exploring how courts evaluate economic expert evidence, with emphasis on recent developments in the UK and evolving standards of judicial scrutiny.
